Blessings start with proper acknowledgment. In March 2023, Tareek Montague, "OD Reek" (@od_reek), was selected for a one-on-one interview with CanvasRebel about his journey as an artist, creative and clothing line owner.
Tareek is the founder of 4L Brand LLC, a Black-owned lifestyle brand based in Hoboken that aims to spread positivity through quality apparel worldwide. The name comes from "4 Long, 4 Life, 4 Love," representing living, longevity and love. He grew up in the Hoboken Housing Authority's Andrew Jackson Gardens, where he was involved in sports, music and theater arts. He launched a headwear business with a creative director in 2016, which ended after two and a half years, then restarted his creative journey during the pandemic and launched 4L Brand LLC with his own funding. He sells through the brand's own website for independence, full creative and technical control and better marketing.
