The 6 Borough and What Hoboken Sounds Like came together for the third annual 3 vs 3 basketball tournament in honor of Jose "Cheeks" Emanuelli. After weather forced the date to be rescheduled again, the Cheeks 3 vs 3 Fundraiser Tournament landed on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

- Teams: 6 players max per team, 3 to play
- Cost: $45 per player

The tournament was a fundraiser in loving memory of Jose "Cheeks" Emanuelli, with a percentage of the proceeds going toward his son.
Why it matters
The tournament was first set for September 23, 2023, before weather pushed it back. WHSL shared the deeper meaning behind what @rizzyray11 and @d3e_j_m of The 6 Borough do every year to honor the life of Jose, may he rest in peace. A percentage of all proceeds went to Cheeks' son, Antonio. Sponsorship inquiries went to The 6 Borough by DM or at 6boroughclothing@gmail.com.
WHSL's official DJ, DJ BriPee, was announced for the music.
Sponsors and vendors
The tournament was sponsored by the Hoboken Local 1078 Firefighters (a bronze sponsor, with a big thank-you to @mattvelez__ for making it happen), 8th Floor Sound and Ruben Ramos Jr.. In the weeks leading up, WHSL and The 6 Borough thanked each one: "Your contributions have helped us in more ways than one and we greatly appreciate it!"
Official vendors included Walk A Mile N Our Shoes, Outlaw Apparel, Vail Stones, AddSumColor, 4L Brand, Prez Made This and Street Friends. When vendor spots opened at the start of September, space was limited and food vendors couldn't be accepted.
