What Hoboken Sounds Like Proudly Supports the 2nd Annual Southwest Fest on June 23rd!

We are incredibly proud to support the return of Southwest Fest for its second edition, standing alongside community leaders and partners to help make this event a success. As an organization dedicated to uplifting Hoboken’s music and arts scene, What Hoboken Sounds Like is honored to play a role in celebrating the vibrant culture of southwest Hoboken.

Taking place on Sunday, June 23rd, from 12 PM to 5 PM, Southwest Fest will transform Jackson Street (from 2nd to 4th Street) into a hub of music, food, and community spirit. This festival, created by the residents of southwest Hoboken, has quickly become a cornerstone event that showcases the creativity, resilience, and unity of the neighborhood.

This year, we are especially excited to help highlight an incredible lineup of talent, including performances from DJ Bripee, Danny Matos Y La Zaborinque, and Coopuh! The Savage, Hoboken hip-hop artist Phat Rob, Hoboken artist Dallas Connors, and the Hoboken High School Band: the Rockin Redwings.

“This festival is a true reflection of Hoboken’s artistic spirit, said What Hoboken Sounds Like founder Victor Manuel Lopez Jr. We take great pride in helping to showcase the city's diverse talent and ensuring that events like Southwest Fest continue to bring people together through music, culture, and community.”

Southwest Fest is presented by the Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA) as the lead sponsor, with additional support from 4th Ward Councilman Ruben Ramos Jr., the Hoboken Housing Authority, What Hoboken Sounds Like, and more. We are proud to stand alongside these partners to help elevate local businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs who shape the energy of our city.

Hoboken’s sense of community is what makes it such a special place and Southwest Fest is a shining example of how residents, businesses, and organizations can come together to create something meaningful. We look forward to an incredible celebration and hope to see everyone in southwest Hoboken on June 23rd for a day filled with music, food, and community spirit.
