For National Photography Day, the Hoboken Historical Museum is hosting a special edition of Street Lens, a hands-on photo walk led by photographer Roberto Rosa III.

Participants shoot with anything from a smartphone to a DSLR while visiting Lackawanna Terminal, the waterfront, the Little League field, Sybil's Cave and Washington Street.

What the workshop covers

  • Getting the most out of camera features
  • Guided instruction on composition, lighting and framing
  • Free shooting time to develop a personal perspective

The group meets at Lackawanna Station on Hudson Place. The session is aimed at beginners and hobbyists interested in street photography.

Rosa is a poet, educator and photographer known for the museum exhibit Can You See Me Now? Capturing Beauty on Hoboken's West Side.
