Hoboken artist Pootie and Brooklyn-based producer Nothing Neue released their joint album "Rinse and Repeat" on January 24, 2024, the third album from a Hoboken artist that year.
The video
Ahead of the album, the duo released the visually stunning "Rinse and Repeat" music video on YouTube, directed by another Hoboken creative, Nathan Franx.
The album
WHSL called it a smooth, enlightening hip-hop experience with catchy lyrics and punchlines, with Pootie delivering over Neue's epic production. The album was also released on vinyl, one of the first times in this generation that a Hoboken hip-hop release has been pressed to a vinyl record.

On NJ.com and in the Jersey Journal
On January 31, Pootie was featured on NJ.com in "Hip-hop 'Rinse and Repeat' a compelling listen" by Jim Testa, which also ran statewide in the Jersey Journal. The article describes the 10-track album as focused on working-class drive and dreams, and highlights the duo's approach of creating in the studio without sampling, resulting in tracks that are simple yet atmospheric. Its mood is chill, contemplative and at times even dark. WHSL thanked Testa for covering even more of Hoboken's growing hip-hop scene.
The Rinse and Repeat tour
The tour kicked off with an exclusive show at Top Shelf Premium, 257 1st Street in Hoboken, from 3 to 6 PM. Originally set for Sunday, January 28, it was rescheduled to February 9 because of the weather, with the lineup unchanged: Pootie and Nothing Neue, Lord Cartel, Benji Socrates and Hoboken's own KYY.
