The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance held the traditional Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 5 PM at 11th and Washington Streets.
The night featured Elvis the Elf, performances by Hoboken's youth including Cheer Dynamics All Stars, and a visit from Santa. Merry Hot Cocoa, Apple Montessori School and The Hive served free hot cocoa and baked goods. Attendees were asked to bring unwrapped toys and gift cards for the Hoboken Police Department's holiday drive, non-perishable food for the Hoboken Community Center pantry, and shower supplies for the Hoboken Shelter.
WHSL was there capturing the moments. Despite the cold, hundreds came out, with performances from Studio L Hoboken, Cheer Dynamics, the Connors School chorus and @are_u_dave, and News 12 NJ filming. Photos by Victor Lopez Jr..
