April 29, 2025 marked one year since the loss of Damon "Nu Nu" Murray. In his honor, family, friends and community members gathered outside the newly named Damon Murray Community Center for a balloon release.
Had he still been here, Damon would have been recognized as an honorary firefighter, a reflection of the love, pride and lasting impact he left on his community. His spirit lives on through everyone who carries his memory forward.
Coverage of the tribute was captured by Mile Square Mommies.
